Right fit

You became a therapist
to help people, not to figure out business formation

caret care is for independently licensed clinicians who are ready to practice on their own terms and just need the structure to make it happen.

Do you recognize yourself?

You’ve been in this
exact conversation

These are the moments caret care was built for. If any of these sound like you, you’re in the right place.

“
I know I’m a good clinician. I just don’t know how to start a business. It’s not what I trained for, and I’m not sure where to even begin.

Just got licensed, ready to go solo
“
I’ve been at an agency for eight years. The clinical work is good. But I’m tired of their caseload limits, their documentation requirements, their everything. I want to practice the way I know works.
D
David, LPC
Agency clinician, ready to leave
“
I technically started. I have a few clients. But I haven’t set up a business entity, I’m not sure about my liability coverage, and I feel like I’m one bad thing away from a problem I didn’t see coming.

Rachel, LMFT
Winging it, but wants to get it right
The real cost of staying

The barrier between you and the practice you want isn’t clinical.

You didn’t stop yourself from going independent because you doubted your clinical skills. You stopped because the business side felt impenetrable, and nobody around you could explain it clearly.

That barrier is real. It’s kept talented clinicians in settings that limit their work, their autonomy, and the clients they’re able to reach. caret care exists to remove it.

When you control your practice, you control your clinical decisions: who you see, what you charge, how you work, which modalities you use, how long sessions run. That’s the practice you trained for.

Is this actually for you?

The honest answer, not the pitch answer.

✓
This is for you if…
You hold an independent clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, psychologist, or equivalent)
You want to launch or grow a private practice but don’t have a business background
You’re willing to do the work. You just need to know what to do and in what order
You want to make decisions you can stand behind, not just fast ones
You’re building a solo practice, not a multi-clinician group from day one
You’d benefit from structure and a clear sense of what comes next
×
Probably not the right fit if…
You’re pre-licensed and still completing supervised hours. The platform assumes independent licensure
You already have significant business experience and need tactical execution, not guidance
You’re planning to launch a multi-provider group practice from the start
You’re looking for clinical supervision, peer consultation, or CEUs. This is a business platform
You want full done-for-you with no engagement. The platform requires your participation and inputs
Eligible licenses

Built for independent licensure

If you can operate a private practice under your own license, you’re in the right place.

License names vary by state. What matters is that you hold an independent clinical license that allows you to practice and bill without supervision. Not sure if yours qualifies? Reach out before you purchase.

“You’ve already done the hardest part: becoming the kind of clinician people need. Now build the practice that lets you reach them.”

That’s what caret care is for.

Questions

Things people ask
before they start

Not at all. This is actually one of the most common starting points. caret care works as an audit tool as well as a launch guide. Many clinicians who “already started” discover they’re missing key pieces or have made decisions they’d revisit with better information. You can enter the platform at any stage.
Very common. A lot of clinicians build their practice structure and get everything in place while still employed full-time, then transition when they’re ready. caret care is self-paced. You work through it when you have time, and it holds your progress across sessions.
caret care launches new states every month, and requests shape which states come next, so tell us where you’re licensed when you request an invite. State-specific guidance is built in where requirements differ, especially entity type (LLC vs. PLLC), licensing board rules, and compliance. You enter your state early in the process.
Early-stage pricing is shared with invited members. Request an invite for details; you’ll hear back within 2 business days.
No. It’s significantly more structured and more affordable. A consultant gives you advice. caret care gives you a system: guided steps, automated forms, generated documents, and decision guidance built specifically for licensed therapists in private practice. And it’s built by someone who’s actually done this, not a generalist business consultant.

The practice you want
is buildable.

You have the clinical foundation. caret care gives you the business structure. That’s the whole equation.

Resources & links

This is your resource panel. When a step requires you to visit a government website, download a template, access a form, or explore a recommended tool or service, you’ll find it here.

On steps where nothing is needed, this panel stays quiet. When it matters, you’ll be directed here from within the step itself, so there’s no need to check it unless you’ve been pointed this way.

Come back here any time you need to revisit a link or re-download something from a completed step.
