Terms and Conditions

You must read and accept these Terms and Conditions before creating an account or purchasing a Caret Care membership.

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your purchase of a Caret Care membership and your use of the member platform at www.caretcare.com (the “Platform”), operated by Caret Care, Inc., a Wisconsin-based company. By checking the box to accept this Agreement, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by it. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase a membership.

1. What you’re purchasing

Caret Care is a guided, self-directed practice-building program for independently licensed mental health clinicians. Your membership gives you access to sequenced lesson content, document generation tools, and related resources tied to the membership tier you purchase. Specific tier features and pricing are listed at the time of purchase and are incorporated into this Agreement by reference.

Caret Care is an educational and document-generation tool. It is not a law firm, accounting firm, or consulting practice, and purchasing a membership does not create a professional advisory relationship between you and Caret Care.

2. Incorporated documents

The following documents are incorporated into this Agreement by reference and form part of it: our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Disclaimer, Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Use. By accepting this Agreement, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review each of these documents and agree to be bound by them. Where this Agreement conflicts with the Terms of Use, this Agreement controls.

3. Account responsibilities

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at policy@caretcare.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Your membership is for your individual use as a licensed clinician building your own practice. You may not share your login credentials, resell access, or use the Platform on behalf of another person’s practice without our written consent.

4. Beta access

Prior to public launch, Caret Care may invite a limited number of participants to access the Platform at no charge under an invitation-only beta program. Beta access is granted via a single-use access code issued at Caret Care’s discretion. Possession of an access code does not constitute a pricing commitment for any membership tier, and beta access may be withdrawn or converted to a paid membership at Caret Care’s discretion with reasonable advance notice. All other terms of this Agreement apply to beta participants in full.

Pre-release acknowledgment. Beta participants acknowledge that the Platform is incomplete and pre-release. Content, features, document templates, and program structure may be added, changed, or removed during the beta period without notice. Access to any specific feature or section of the Platform during beta does not constitute a representation that such feature will exist in, or be included in, any paid membership tier.

Feedback and suggestions. Caret Care may solicit feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations from beta participants regarding the Platform, its content, or its features. Any feedback you provide is non-confidential and becomes the sole property of Caret Care, Inc. Caret Care may use, incorporate, modify, or build upon your feedback for any purpose without restriction, attribution, or compensation. Providing feedback does not grant you any ownership interest in the Platform or in any feature derived from your input.

Confidentiality of pre-release content. Beta participants agree to keep Platform content confidential during the beta period. You may not publicly post, publish, review, screenshot, record, or share Platform content, pricing information, document templates, lesson content, or product features without Caret Care’s prior written consent. This obligation applies for the duration of the beta period and for one year following its close.

5. Billing and payment

Membership pricing is listed at the time of purchase. If your tier includes recurring billing, you authorize our payment processor to charge your payment method at each renewal until you cancel. Refunds, cancellations, and tier changes are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Caret Care may change membership pricing with advance notice to active members. Price changes apply beginning with your next billing cycle, not mid-cycle.

6. Platform use and client information

The Platform is designed for practice setup documentation only. Do not enter client names, client health information, or any other client-identifying information anywhere on the Platform. The Platform is not intended to create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information, and Caret Care does not offer a business associate agreement. You are solely responsible for where and how you store completed client-facing documents once generated.

Entering client health information on the Platform is a material violation of this Agreement and grounds for termination under Section 8.

7. Intellectual property

All lesson content, templates, checklists, and platform materials are owned by Caret Care, Inc. and licensed to you for use in your own practice during your active membership. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly republish, or use Caret Care materials to build a competing product or service.

Documents you generate using your own practice information are yours to use in your practice. The underlying template design, language, and structure remain Caret Care’s intellectual property.

8. Termination

Caret Care may suspend or terminate your account if you violate this Agreement, including unauthorized sharing of access or misuse of the Platform to store client health information. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases of suspected abuse or security risk. You may close your account at any time by contacting policy@caretcare.com.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform is provided “as is.” Caret Care does not warrant that any document template, checklist, or lesson content satisfies the specific legal, licensing, or regulatory requirements of your state or your professional board. You are responsible for independent verification before relying on any Platform output in your practice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caret Care’s total liability arising from your purchase or use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid for your membership in the twelve months preceding the claim. Caret Care is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including damages arising from reliance on a document template or from a compliance, licensing, or regulatory issue in your practice.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Caret Care, Inc. and its officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Platform, your use or distribution of any document generated through the Platform, your violation of this Agreement, or your violation of any law, regulation, licensing requirement, or professional obligation applicable to your practice.

12. Dispute resolution and governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from this Agreement will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

13. Changes to this Agreement

Caret Care may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email or platform notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Agreement.
