Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) defines what the Caret Care platform (the “Platform”) may and may not be used for. It applies to every account holder, including beta participants, and is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions. Violating this Policy is a violation of that Agreement.

2. Permitted use

The Platform is licensed to you, individually, as an independently licensed mental health clinician building or operating your own private practice. Permitted use means completing lessons, submitting your own practice information through lesson forms, generating document templates for use in your own practice, and accessing resources tied to your membership tier. Any use outside that scope requires Caret Care’s prior written consent.

3. Client information

The Platform is designed for practice setup documentation only. Do not enter client names, client health information, or any other client-identifying information anywhere on the Platform. The Platform is not intended to create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information, and no business associate agreement is offered. Completed client-facing documents must be stored in systems you maintain for that purpose, outside the Platform. Entering client health information on the Platform is a material violation of this Policy.

4. Prohibited uses

Content extraction. You may not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or use any automated means to access, copy, or extract Platform content, including lesson content, document templates, checklists, or the structure and sequence of the program itself.

Competitive use. You may not use Platform content to develop, train, or improve any product, service, or system that competes with the Platform, and you may not reproduce the program’s structure, sequencing, or materials in any competing offering, whether commercial or free.

Resale and redistribution. Document templates and generated documents are licensed for use in your own practice only. You may not sell, license, distribute, or otherwise provide templates or generated documents to other clinicians or third parties, whether for payment or not. Client-facing use of your own generated documents within your own practice is not redistribution.

Access violations. You may not share login credentials, permit any other person to use your account, or attempt to access accounts, content, or membership tiers you have not purchased.

Platform integrity. You may not probe, disrupt, or circumvent Platform security, introduce malicious code, or interfere with the Platform’s operation or with other members’ use of it.

Unlawful or misrepresentative use. You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or misrepresent your licensure status or identity in your account or in information submitted through the Platform.

5. Enforcement

Caret Care may suspend or terminate your account for violation of this Policy, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation, as provided in the Terms and Conditions. Platform content is proprietary and protected under U.S. copyright and other intellectual property law. In addition to termination, Caret Care reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies for content extraction, competitive use, or unauthorized redistribution, including claims for damages and injunctive relief. Termination for violation of this Policy does not entitle you to a refund.

6. Reporting violations

If you become aware of a violation of this Policy, including a suspected compromise of your own account, report it to policy@caretcare.com.
