This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) defines what the Caret Care platform (the “Platform”) may and may not be used for. It applies to every account holder, including beta participants, and is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions. Violating this Policy is a violation of that Agreement.
The Platform is licensed to you, individually, as a licensed or pre-licensed mental health professional building or operating your own practice, under the single-user license in Section 4 of the Terms and Conditions. Permitted use means completing lessons, submitting your own practice information through lesson forms, generating documents for use in your own practice, and accessing resources tied to your membership tier. Any use outside that scope requires Caret Care’s prior written consent.
Caret Care does not accept client information. Client-facing documents download with their client fields blank, and you complete those fields on your own device or in your electronic health record, as described in Section 7 of the Terms and Conditions. Caret Care does not offer a business associate agreement. You may not:
Store completed client documents in your electronic health record or another system covered by a business associate agreement. A violation of this Section is a material breach and grounds for immediate suspension or termination.
Content extraction. You may not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or use any automated means to access, copy, or extract Platform content, including lesson content, document templates, checklists, or the structure and sequence of the program itself.
Competitive use. You may not use Platform content to develop, train, or improve any product, service, or system that competes with the Platform, including any artificial intelligence model, and you may not reproduce the program’s structure, sequencing, or materials in any competing offering, whether commercial or free.
Resale and redistribution. Document templates and generated documents are licensed for use in your own practice only. You may not sell, license, distribute, or otherwise provide templates or generated documents to other clinicians or third parties, whether for payment or not. Client-facing use of your own generated documents within your own practice is not redistribution.
Shared access. You may not share login credentials, permit any other person to use your account, use one membership for more than one clinician, or attempt to access accounts, content, or membership tiers you have not purchased.
Platform integrity. You may not probe, disrupt, or circumvent Platform security, introduce malicious code, or interfere with the Platform’s operation or with other members’ use of it.
Unlawful or misrepresentative use. You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or misrepresent your licensure status or identity in your account or in information submitted through the Platform.
Representing Caret Care’s role. You may not tell clients, payers, or boards that Caret Care reviewed, approved, or certified a document, or that a document is compliant because Caret Care produced it.
Caret Care may suspend or terminate your account for violation of this Policy, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation, as provided in the Terms and Conditions. Platform content is proprietary and protected under U.S. copyright and other intellectual property law. In addition to termination, Caret Care reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies for content extraction, competitive use, or unauthorized redistribution, including claims for damages and injunctive relief. Termination for violation of this Policy does not entitle you to a refund.
If you become aware of a violation of this Policy, a suspected compromise of your own account, or client information you entered somewhere it does not belong, report it to policy@caretcare.com right away. Caret Care will delete misplaced client information once it learns of it. Reporting your own mistake promptly is always better than leaving it in place.
For questions about this Policy, contact us at policy@caretcare.com.
This is your resource panel. When a step requires you to visit a government website, download a template, access a form, or explore a recommended tool or service, you’ll find it here.
On steps where nothing is needed, this panel stays quiet. When it matters, you’ll be directed here from within the step itself, so there’s no need to check it unless you’ve been pointed this way.
Come back here any time you need to revisit a link or re-download something from a completed step.
Close this panel when you’re ready to continue.
